Maksims, the founder of EWART WOODS, isn’t a fisherman by trade. But he enjoys fishing as a hobby — a way to relax, clear his mind, and step away from the noise of daily work in the studio.

One afternoon, while out by the water, Maksims landed the biggest fish he had ever caught.

“It was the kind of catch that makes the whole trip worth it,” he said. “Not just big — it was a beautiful shape.”

He admired the fish for a moment, took it all in, and then released it back into the water — a quiet nod to respecting nature and its place in the world.

But that moment stuck with him. The elegant curve of the fish’s body, the fluid shape, the symmetry — it all stayed in his head.
